After Theme Park it was always going to be interesting to see what would be the next 'Theme' game. Theme Hospital was that next title and it was, without a doubt the finest title Bullfrog ever produced. Even today it still looks and plays superbly, why on Earth we didn't have a Theme Hospital 2? It has to be one of the biggest mysteries of all time in the games industry.
Basically you take charge of a variety of hospitals, all of which have their own specific problem, and you have to kick them all into shape by looking after every aspect from designing the wards to making sure your handyman is watering the plants. Research has to be carried out to enable your doctors to cure wacky diseases such as Bloaty Head and The Squits. It's all crazy but it's also brilliant entertainment. Imagine the addictiveness of Theme Park and Rollercoaster Tycoon mixed with bucket loads of laughs (in a hospital setting) and you have a good idea of what Theme Hospital is like.
